“My primary focus as a therapist is to build a safe and trusting relationship with my clients so we can work together to create the change, healing, and growth they want in their lives.”

About Me

Life can be a beautiful mess and a heartbreaking gift, sometimes at the same time. My aim is to provide the support and connection you need to navigate and grow from the challenges you are currently facing.

In my work with you, I will remind you of your innate strengths and values and encourage you to listen to and trust yourself. I will invite you to be curious about yourself so that you can begin to recognize the patterns of thinking and behaviour that might be holding you back as well as identify how various influences in your life impact your functioning. I will also work to help you re-establish and strengthen the mind-body connection within yourself as a means of promoting holistic mental and physical health.

My experiences as a teacher, a counsellor, and a parent of neurodiverse children have helped me recognize that each person has their own unique strengths and resources. I believe that my greatest strengths as a therapist are my abilities to build meaningful rapport with clients and to meet them where they are when they come in for counselling.

I use trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches to therapy in my work with children, youth, and adults to promote healing, growth, and personal wellbeing. My specialities include Grief & Loss, Religious Trauma, and ADHD & Neurodiversity. Depending on the needs of each client, I may use interventions from a number of counselling modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, SFT, EFT, IFS, somatic therapies, expressive arts, play therapy, and narrative therapy.

On the more personal side, I am a natural introvert who loves camping, cooking, puzzling, and reading. My favourite seasons are spring and fall because they remind me that change can be beautiful.

Credentials and Ethics: I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and am a Professional Member in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). My practice is guided and informed by the CCPA Code of Ethics and the CCPA Standards of Practice. I hold a Master of Counselling in Applied Psychology with a Specialization in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, as well as bachelor’s degrees in English and Education.
