About Me

As a Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, I believe in an honest, kind and supportive approach to counselling. Many times, life can be hard, especially when faced with unexpected hurdles, losses, and struggles. At those times, it can be hard to find the right words to express how we feel, and even harder to know what we’re supposed to do with those feelings. My hope is to be with you on that journey, helping you find your way.

As an Emotionally Focused trained therapist, I use a combination of emotions, sensations and thoughts to guide my therapy sessions as I believe that there is always more than meets the eye and sometimes, we need help finding what is beneath the surface. I also strongly believe that there is an existential aspect to many of the issues we deal with and approaching that from an open and non-judgmental perspective can help us be more at peace with what we don’t know.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from different walks of life and have helped them address the many challenges that we as humans face, but over the last few years I have found myself working more and more with the impact of trauma on our day-to-day lives. I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, C-PTSD, and BPD.. Culturally, I have had the great fortune of working in multiple countries, namely Malaysia, the Maldives, India and now Canada. This has given me a unique perspective on the diverse range of experiences, but also the common thread of emotions that we all experience no matter where in the world we are from.
